NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC – KILLING JESUS

Ciao a tutti,

Questa volta vi illustro alcune fasi della lavorazione del trailer di Killing Jesus , il nuovo docu-film targato National Geographic.

Per la composizione musicale ho scelto Studio ONE , devo dire che l’uscita di Cubase 8 Pro mi ha fatto riavvicinare a Steinberg , in quanto trovo la versione 8 PRO il Cubase migliore realizzato fino ad ora, ma per alcune lavorazion mi può capitare di usare ancora  Studio One.

La scelta dei virtual utilizzati è stata un po’ forzata in quanto nella macchina usata per la lavorazione non possedevo il mio consueto set-up.

Per gli archi ho utilizzato la ” vecchia ” Vienna Instruments Extended che dimostra un po’ la sua vecchiaia, ma nel complesso continua a fare il suo dovere.

Certo, confrontata con le attuali library sono evidenti importanti limiti nel campionamento, del resto anche all’epoca era la versione ” lite ” della ben più corposa library Vienna.

Ma come ho spesso detto,  certe lavorazioni si fanno sempre in poco tempo , per cui bisogna adattarsi e cercare di utilizzare al meglio quanto si ha.

Ho utilizzato un mix di layers composto da : Action Strike e HZ01 .

Per la sezione di Horns ho sempre pescato tra la Vienna Ensamble Extended, ed infine per alcune parti secondari di pad , synt e texture ho optato per il magnifico tutto fare Omnisphere.

La sezione Vocale è stata affidata a  Clara Sorace che arricchisce il tutto , riscaldando la narrazione musicale.

Per il Sound Design e il MIX finale ho scelto ProTools HDX.
